A shattered sliding door leaves your home open and the floor covered in glass. We fit new glass into your existing door panel whenever the frame is sound.
Sliding door glass sits in a panel that comes out of its track. We lift the panel out, remove what is left of the old glass, clean the frame and fit new safety glass. Door glass has to be safety glass under AS 1288, so a replacement is made to the right specification and size, even if what broke was older plain glass.
Keep everyone in shoes and away from the opening. Do not try to slide a damaged panel, because cracked glass can drop out of the frame. Take a photo from inside and outside, and call or send it through. Those photos tell us the size, the frame type and how quickly it needs attention.
Sliding doors usually have other small complaints: heavy rollers, worn seals or a track full of grit. We will let you know what we see, so you can decide whether it is worth dealing with while the panel is out.
